Estris

Privacy policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Estris is a set of tools for preparing data and documents. This page explains what data we use, why, and how you can control it.

Who is responsible

Marc Nogueres Rivero. For any privacy question: mnogueres@gmail.com.

Your files never leave your computer

Màscara, Extreu, Converteix, Perfil, Consulta and Neteja process files inside your browser. We never upload them to any server, not even ours, and we never see their contents.

Accounts

Estris does not require an account. If you created one during the beta, we keep your email address and, if you used Tasques, your lists, until you ask us to delete them. If you used Google to get in, we also keep your name, the link to your profile picture and your Google account ID, and for every account, the language you preferred and the dates you signed up and last visited.

We don't use this data for anything else, and we don't sell or share it.

Cookies

We only use one, and it is strictly necessary:

  • estris_locale: remembers the language you choose. It lasts one year.

We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. If you had an account during the beta, the cookie that kept it open (estris_session) is no longer used and expires on its own.

Analytics

We count visits with Plausible, running on our own server. It uses no cookies and doesn't store your IP address. We only get aggregate figures: which pages are visited, where visitors come from, browser and device type, and country. In Converteix we also count each conversion with its source and target format, never anything about the file. In Màscara, Extreu, Perfil, Consulta and Neteja we also count how often they are used (in Perfil, Consulta and Neteja, with the file format), never anything about the files, the queries or the changes. We do this to know whether the tools are useful (legal basis: legitimate interest).

Server logs

Like any web server, ours logs each request (IP address, browser, page and time) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Providers

  • Contabo GmbH (Germany): hosts the server that runs the website and the analytics and holds the beta account data.
  • Cloudflare: protects the website and makes it faster. Every visit goes through it, so it processes your IP address. We also store our backups there, encrypted and in the European Union.

Cloudflare may process data outside the European Union, with the safeguards provided by the GDPR (EU–US Data Privacy Framework).

How long we keep it

Beta account data, until you ask us to delete it. Email mnogueres@gmail.com from the account's address and we will delete it within one month at most.

We back up the database; the copies we keep outside the server are encrypted. After an account is deleted, its data may remain in these backups for up to 90 days, until they are replaced.

Your rights

You can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to its processing or receive it in a reusable format (portability). Email mnogueres@gmail.com.

If you think we haven't handled your data properly, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
